How is a sinus infection diagnosed?

To diagnose a sinus infection, Physical examination and your doctor will ask about your symptoms. A healthcare person may check for pressure and tenderness by pressing a finger against your head and cheeks. Sometimes they  may also examine the inside of your nose to look for signs of inflammation.

In some chronic cases the health care person may examine your nasal passage. In this examination they may see some mucus blockage or some structural abnormalities.
